Unique Designs for Unique People

Lauren's Library

Welcome to Purple Wolf Designs! I originally created the company to share my jewelry designs with others. I envisioned a place where I could share my thoughts, my music, and my passions with others. Since that original conception, I’ve become an author. My library now has three books.

Essays from One Family's Legacy of Mental Illness

My grandmother had Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. She was delusional in that she believed there was nothing wrong with her. Rather than getting her treatment, her husband and daughters changed their lives to revolve around Grandma’s compulsions. Their inability or unwillingness to draw boundaries resulted in an incubator for mental illness that has echoed through three generations of descendants.

The French Court was published on May 10, 2025, for National Mental Health Month.

Cody: The Extraordinary Life of an Ordinary Dog

Cody’s story starts when he was an abused dog rescued from the streets of New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. His story ends with Cody as a service dog and an unofficial Canine Goodwill Ambassador in China before retiring to Alaska. Cody’s development from a “quivering mass of dog flesh” to a Real Dog will inspire you as it inspired those who knew him.

Cody was published on October 26, 2024, for National Make a Difference Day. Let Cody make a difference in your life!

Satan's Therapist

Sylvia Wentworth, Ph.D, a middle-aged therapist in Chicagoland, meets a new patient. Lucy appears to be an attractive young woman in her 20s. Appearances can be deceiving. Lucy claims to be a supernatural being. Will Sylvia’s devout Catholic faith survive working with Lucy intact?

This story of sin, temptation, love, and faith is equal parts satire and psychological thriller.
